God's Unfailing Love

Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for men, ( Psalms 107:8 *NIV )

Psalm 117 1-2 Praise God, everybody! Applaud God, all people! His love has taken over our lives; God's faithful ways are eternal. Hallelujah!

2. For His merciful kindness is great toward us, and the truth of the Lord endures forever. Praise the Lord!

God is so faithful. His love endures for us forever.

I am hearing so many people going through tremendously stressful times. The holidays can do this to us. So much rushing, pushing, so many cars on the road. Malls packed, restaurants packed, grocery stores packed. No money for presents and eager children hoping for so much! And, if that's not bad enough, it seems like so many people are upset, hurried, angry at everyone around them.

A checker at a grocery store asked me how I was doing once, a long time ago, during a Christmas rush. I told her I had had a terrible day. People had been so rude to me that day. I told her I bet she went through this a lot and her answer was, "There are so many people hurting this time of year...I just don't question it anymore, how people treat me. I assume they are going through something painful and it is not for me to understand. I pray for them."

I was so surprised by her answer. She was so right. I had let the people who were angry and rude really affect me. This checker let it all roll off of her and instead prayed for those that were acting this way.

I will always remember that, as I do now today. We don't know what people have on their hearts. We don't know what they are going through at home. With so many people being laid off, losing homes, estranged from family, and feeling lost, we really must keep them on our hearts and pray for them.

May the love of God fill your heart and mind, today and always... and as you exude His love, I pray it is contagious for all who enter your surroundings!

Peace for today, and know you are loved and prayed for!
