The effect of one man, Jesus. The effect of his word, the effect of his love, transforms us all. He heals, restores, inspires and touches all of us, and this, in turn ripples through our lives, to our families, our friends, our communities, and our country. The effect of this one man creates effective People! HERE THEY ARE!

The message this weekend was an open eye and heart on the prayer "The Our Father".
Our Father, Who art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name.
Our Father...... Who watches us from the Heavens above...... Who is all love, all of the time .... Who never leaves us..... is always with us.......
A friend sent this story below to me and I received it when I got home that afternoon. Coincidence? I don't think so :o)

Please, as you go through this week. Ponder this... Know how much you are loved....know you are not alone... We are His children, and He wishes only that we know Him, know of His deep love for us and that we are never, ever alone....

Do you know the legend of the Cherokee Indian youth's rite of passage?

His father takes him into the forest, blindfolds him and leaves him alone.
He is required to sit on a stump the whole night and not remove the blindfold
until the rays of the morning sun shine through it.
He cannot cry out for help to anyone.
Once he survives the night, he is a MAN.
He cannot tell the other boys of this experience, because each lad must come
into manhood on this own.
This boy is naturally terrified.
He can hear all kinds of noises.
Wild beasts must surely be all around him.
Maybe even some human might do him harm.
The wind blows the grass and earth, and shakes his stump,
but he sits stoically, never removing the blindfold.
It would be the only way he could become a man!
Finally, after a horrific night, the sun appears and he removes his blindfold.
It is only then that he discovers his father sitting on the stump next to him.
He has been at watch the entire night, protecting his son from harm.
We, too, are never alone.
Even when we don't know it, we don't always feel it,
our Heavenly Father is watching over us, sitting on the stump beside us.
When trouble comes, all we have to do is reach out to Him.

Have a beautiful week, children of God
& reach to Him if you need Him.
& when you are able, please share your knowledge of Him
so that others will not feel alone,
because they might not know He is there,
and they might be hurting
and He is waiting with open arms
and for us all to lift our blindfolds.
