Ok.. we're back! Computer problems kept me away for a bit, but we're back!

August 12th was a wonderful day! Oh my gosh, a reprieve from the heat! We were blessed with a breeze and blue skies! Dana Point is beautiful always, but it has been a bit hot... and for some of us, coming from places like Trabuco Canyon (where it is Gobi desert hot!), we are loving DP!!!
We had an Effective Birthday, hey Monica Hanks, we love you! We had a wonderful time of worship!! The message was absolutely a gift from God's lips to our ears...of course, through our humble pastor, Dave Brisbin :o) .... (please check for these messages online at http://www.theeffect.org/) We are all "Free Falling" ever since we left the comfort and safety of our Mother's womb. Are you enjoying the ride or white knuckling it?? Are you enjoying your life NOW ... or just waiting for the ride to be over???

And, for those of you who might have missed this Sunday. Pastor Dave went over AA's Step 6, which is so relevant for so many of us. We truly believe that all people are recovering from something and that these Steps are beneficial for EVERYONE ~~

Step 6 is the step that separates the men from the boys, girls from women. If we can honestly say we are ENTIRELY ready (not almost, not just about, not partially) to have God remove ALL (not some) of our defects ****, even the ones that were fun (but harmful), if we have turned our will and our life over to God's care with complete abandon, then we have completed and accomplished Step 6. FREE FALLING, ENJOYING THE RIDE (imagine a skydiver!)

**** Defects... the things we did in our past that have caused us to act in the detrimental manner that we did and maybe still do...

WE SHOULD ALL LIVE "ONE DAY AT A TIME"...
May God Bless your "Now" and help you through your "Past" & "Present"
May He heal you and bless you with His comfort forever!!
