CHURCHES

There is so much competition today among our churches. It grieves my heart.

When we started The Effect, I thought...omgoodness, don't we have enough churches in Orange County? Is this truly the right path you have for us, Lord? He answered that question very quickly.

There are so many differences in our local churches. I believe that is God's doing. That maybe one type of church would appeal to one person, and another church appeal to another. Isn't that ok? If God is reaching "1" person in our little church, are we making a difference? Yes! All churches are here to simply help forward the "Good News" of Jesus Christ, and to be His heart, His arms and His Legs to do the work that He started when He was here Himself? Aren't we all extensions here to help each other? Does the size of our church matter? What matters is helping those that God has guided towards our path.

Wouldn't it be wonderful, if our churches would embrace each other and help each other? Why can't we see each other as extensions and simply and truly brothers and sisters in Christ listening to the call to do His work?

We have more than enough people in Orange County, in California, in the USA, and on this earth to fill our individual churches and more. When one walks out of our building and into another, should we feel alarm? Could God be moving the deck chairs a bit to further His cause, to further a mission? If one person did not listen to the call of God, because man told him that he should stay put and cement himself in one spot, who is doing the bigger disservice to God? Who is missing out on a call that might make a difference to one or to many?

God's church has no walls. We His children ARE His church.

There are so many lost souls out there that need to be reached, among us every minute of every day. They are everywhere. They walk past us. They are sleeping in bushes on our beaches, they are sitting in desks in our offices, they are shopping at a grocery store beside us, or servicing us behind a register, they are standing in lines with us. They are in pain, they feel alone, they feel unworthy. They are dressed in rags, they are dressed in fine clothes, they are walking and pushing their life long belongings in a cart with them, they are driving fine cars. They are in warm surroundings, they are out in the cold....but they have one thing in common. They do not know Jesus. They feel empty. They desperately need Jesus. They need to know Him.

We (His Children) all are His hands, His feet, His heart. We are His messengers of love, His arms to embrace the lost. We hold His words on our hearts to tend to those who need Him. We do not need to be within a structure to do His work. WE DON'T NEED TO BE PERFECT. We don't need to hold prestigious degrees, or certificates to be qualified. We just need to open our eyes, our hearts and our minds and be ready to do His calling.

WE ALL ARE HIS CHURCH.

May God bless you today and always. May He open your eyes, your hearts and minds today and may you always be receptive to all who come into your path to show them kindness, a simple smile, God's love. I pray that you will trust in Him always, and trust that He is with you always.

Now, go out and start your day. God is walking with you. You are not alone. He has plans for you! God bless you!
