what is theeffect?

theeffect is focused on realizing the transforming effect of God’s love in people’s everyday lives. Without true transformation, that is, recovery from addictions, compulsions, and other destructive patterns, there is no basis for the healthy relationships that support a full life. That most people in both our faith communities and secular communities never experience such transformation reveals the lack of an integrated approach to life and spirituality that addresses these issues directly.

theeffect is committed to providing both the spiritual direction and physical tools needed for people to break through whatever destructive patterns they have established in their lives.

The Serenity Prayer
God, grant me the Serenity
To accept the things I cannot change...
Courage to change the things I can,

We are all recovering from "something."
There is no such thing as "normal."
We all leave this earth with scars.
(Some scars can not be seen)
It is how we learn to live with them (and each other)
